Apply for Chartered Accountant Thailand Operations Based in UAE

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly competent Chartered Accountant to manage and oversee the financial and compliance functions of our Thailand-based operations, while working from our UAE office. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in international accounting, cross-border taxation, and reporting frameworks. This role involves close coordination with the finance and operational teams in Thailand and the UAE to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and financial control.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting:

  • Prepare and review financial statements for the Thailand entity in compliance with local (Thai GAAP) and international (IFRS) standards.

  • Consolidate Thailand accounts into group financials.

  • Monitor and manage the general ledger, journal entries, and month-end closings.

2. Tax & Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure timely filing of Thai statutory returns: VAT, withholding tax, corporate income tax.

  • Liaise with local consultants in Thailand to stay updated on regulatory changes.

  • Handle transfer pricing documentation and cross-border tax compliance between UAE and Thailand.

3. Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Prepare and review annual budgets and periodic forecasts for Thailand operations.

  • Track budget vs. actual performance and provide variance analysis.

4. Audit & Internal Controls:

  • Coordinate with auditors (both internal and external) for the Thailand entity.

  • Strengthen internal financial controls and processes.

  • Support internal reviews and ensure risk mitigation strategies are in place.

5. Cross-Border Coordination:

  • Act as the finance liaison between UAE headquarters and Thailand office.

  • Facilitate banking, funding, and intercompany transactions across borders.

  • Support compliance with UAE corporate governance standards where relevant.


Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.

  • 2–3 years of post-qualification experience, including experience handling international finance operations.

  • Exposure to Thai accounting practices and regulatory environment is preferred.

  • Proficient in Tally, SAP, or other ERP systems.

  • Excellent communication skills in English; Thai language is an added advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and cross-border tax regulations.


Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience in a multinational group or cross-border business environment.

  • Knowledge of bullion trading or commodity-based businesses is a plus.

  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
